First things first: my days off changed, so I'm doing the updates in Fridays now.  Which means this one is late.  Sorry about that.

Let's kick off with a bit of surrealism, shall we?

Closer.

Don't ask me.

In other news, I almost got trampled.

This is a spoksemodel/actor/James Spader crossed with John Lennon looking guy named Bae Yong Joon who is absolutely everywhere.  Including, as it turns out, Saitama-Shintoshin.  Which I discovered after having a really big hamburger at the place that sells sarads.

That's a really crappy picture, because I was trying to keep my laptop from disappearing into the crowd while I took it.  No one was trying to steal my laptop.  It was just such a tightly compressed wad of people that it drifted away, and I had to slowly work it up and over the heads of the people around me.

It's hard to tell, but that crowd is almost exclusively middle aged housewives.  This guy has a demographic.

I've found a new hobby.  Photographing Japanese women throwing the horns.

Kind of like William Wegman, but with more beer.

Translation: if your dog poops, there must be no regret.

"Up yours, I'm going surfing!"

Actually eating it is extra.

The following is a picture of the farthest North I have yet traveled.  The mountains didn't quite come out as well as I expected, but I like the photo anyway.  Click it for a bigger version.

It's been a while since I've gone out sightseeing.  This is a place called Asakusa, which starts out with a big open market:

Which leads to this thing:

Which opens up to this:

It's also home to this guy, who you can't see very well.

Not really sure why he's caged.  Maybe he's just that dangerous.  Maybe he has a thing for chicken wire.

There are some statues to the right, which bring good luck, wisdom, and other nice stuff.

...and so it goes.  I am EXHAUSTED this week, (there's a flu bug going around.  I didn't catch it, but I've been working for people who have,) but I'm finally getting the DVDs out.  The first batch has been sent.  The order in which people get them is highly scientific: whoever responded first got the first few DVDs.  It takes a while to make these, so I wouldn't wait with baited breath or anything, bu you should be seeing something in the next few weeks (or sooner.)  Of course, I can't send 'em to ya if I don't have your address, so unless you sent me your address last time I asked, try me here.  Until next time.
